From Editor’s Desk
Anthropological Bulletin is a communication window for anthropologist, sociologist, policy planners, development thinkers and practioners etc. to present their views. The journal keeps an interdisciplinary focus, and covers range of issues concerning mankind, as domain of anthropology is continually stretching its boundaries and transcendent to other social sciences and science.
The ‘Anthropological Bulletin’ was first published in 1970s with a different name ‘Research Bulletin’. Unfortunately, the publication of this journal was ceased owing to the paucity of funds and related problems. With the motivation and encouragement of former Vice chancellor, Dr. S.B. Nimse, we have started its publication again. The journale contains varied articles on issues prevailing in modern times concerning to mankind like environment and development, tribal issues, gender issues, human rights etc. It provides insights into nature of current debates, present range of perspectives on key challenges and outlines possible alternatives and ways forward.
We owe special gratitude to our former Vice Chancellor, Dr. S.B. Nimse whose inspiration makes its publication possible. I also wish to thank all the authors for their valuable contribution in making this a success. No good work is possible without team effort. I extent my thanks to the entire team for attractive style, format, design which enhances the pleasure of reading.
